The Idea

Living in the Anthropocene: What do we (in the global North) know about the effects of our planetary climate-crisis in African countries? What do we see and hear beyond abstract reports and some statistics? What does really matter? What is the narrative of the place, the group, the individual? Are we "Nature", and what is happening with and to "Nature"?

THUS: What can be a finer representation of reality then the individual artistic & aesthetic expression? And what could show us better what is the matter than an art-work?

The Purpose

Providing a voice and visibility for dire & specific situation(s) and change(s) on our planet. Questioning preconceived ideas and attitudes (especially from the global North of the global South). Putting the individual in the center: With its hopes and fears, with its daily-life reality. Acknowledging that art and art-works foster insights of a special, extraordinary nature. Showcasing humanity. Creating a discourse. Exchange, share.

On Jury & Process
